Unidirectional rotating bezel
An underwater tool
The Submariner's rotating bezel is one of the watch's key features. Its 60-minute graduations allow the diver to precisely measure their dive time and adjust their decompression stops.
Created by Rolex from an extremely durable ceramic that offers excellent corrosion resistance, the Cerachrom bezel is virtually scratch-proof. A luminescent capsule at the zero mark ensures good legibility, even in the dark. The bezel's serrated edges have been meticulously designed to provide excellent handling underwater, even with gloves.
Royal blue dial
For underwater readability
Truly innovative, the Chromalight luminescent display of the dial has optimized readability in the dark, an essential feature for any diver.
The large hour and minute hands, as well as the indexes with simple shapes – triangle, circle and rectangle – contribute to an instant and reliable reading, preventing divers from any risk of confusion underwater.
