Rolex, which has stubbornly maintained the 36mm case diameter, launched this Datejust II in 2009 as its second larger case model, following the 2008 Daydate II. With a movement diameter increased by 2.5 mm, it is equipped with the Cal.3136 which offers better magnetic and shock resistance thanks to the Rolex-unique Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorber. In the history of the legendary Datejust, this is the only model that does not exist in a Jubilee bracelet and has the thickest bezel of all historical models, making it particularly distinctive.
