This is the second Ref.16710 model, which appeared in 1988 to replace the previous generation Ref.16760. With the popularity of the GMT-Master II, the traditional GMT-Master ceased production in 2000. On this occasion, the blue-red two-tone bezel and the black monochrome bezel, which only existed on the Ref.16700, were revived on this Ref.16710. Subsequently, the Ref.16710 could be chosen from three types of bezels: the traditional black-red two-tone, the blue-red two-tone, and the black monochrome.
